For us feminist principles are about sharing power and building self-reflection and collaborative decision-making into all processes. We recognise the importance of self-reflection about who we are, how we show up, what we bring to the spaces we enter, and how we hold ourselves accountable for our practice and how it affects others.
We all bring our lived experiences, including traumas, into our workspaces. These wounds are often the result of intersecting forms of oppression – racism, sexism, colonialism, ableism, among others. We hold space for our own and others’ healing journeys, so that the wounds we carry are less likely to manifest in harmful ways. We as feminist leaders show vulnerability, ask questions, are humble, and open-minded.

Accountability: We prioritise honesty and integrity in our working relationships and are accountable to others regardless of their position. We take responsibility when necessary to learn, grow and change.
Collaboration: We support collective action and encourage our community to build alliances and grow networks. We promote working relationships that are safe and value all participants.
Diversity of thought and representation: We prioritise equitable relationships and foster diverse people and forms of knowledge and experiences. We check our own and institutional privilege and power based on advantages we have such as gender, class, race, ability and other factors. We recognise the limitations of our current diversity and strive to ensure we grow with a more representative community across gender, age, ethnicity and other forms of identity.
Empathy: We value thoughtfulness, patience, listening skills. We aim to create positive spaces for our community and are considerate of our team members’ circumstances, including any responsibilities that may influence their professional work.
Self and community care: We emphasise the self and collective care of our team and those with whom we work as a priority. We recognise that care practices are essential to sustaining energy, well-being, and solidarity and creating structures in which our team can care for themselves and others.
